2020 Pumpkin Math and a Busy Week Ahead

We are looking forward to lots of fun things happening this week!

We start tomorrow with our Annual Pumpkin Math. Mrs. Goosen and I have been doing this for years now and it is always lots of fun! This year, unfortunately, will be a little different due to COVID. So, we won’t be able to combine classes but it will still be lots of fun! Students need to bring an old shirt to wear so they don’t get their uniform shirt all mucky. Students should have brought one already but, if they haven’t, they need to remember to bring one tomorrow. We will be measuring and weighing our pumpkins, counting and graphing the number of seeds in the pumpkin, carving polygon shapes in patterns and so much more!

Wednesday is our Fall Colours Day. Student may wear casual clothes in fall colours that day. It is also Hot Dog day where students can get 1 free hot dog and 1 free bag of chips if they like. Please feel free to send a lunch if you think 1 hot dog may not be enough for your child as we can give out more than 1 per student.

On a lunch note, just a reminder that our class is a Peanut Free class. This includes anything made from any type of nuts including Nutella. As we have allergies in our classroom, anything with nuts in it could result in students reacting to any contact.

This week, we will also be having our second spelling list. A new memory verse will also be coming this week. I will hear last weeks memory verse tomorrow.
