Well, it has been a couple of busy days. The students have come back all excited and eager to learn and it has been wonderful to see all the energy and excitement. The students have been lots of work already and have done a wonderful job on focusing and getting things done so we don’t waste time.

We have already started on handwriting. I am hoping that we will be finished with learning to use cursive around mid-November so that the students are using cursive full time before Christmas. Right now students are also working on self portraits and writing paragraphs about themselves. We will be displaying some of these out in the hallway by the principal’s office. In Math, we have started looking at the importance of Math and how Math is everywhere in our world. The students have begun writing poems about all the ways Math affects them. They should be very interesting!

Things are beginning to take shape and we are off to a wonderful start.
