The end of the week is here. It was a great week but I’m sure the students are tired and ready for a break. We did so much this week but one of the biggest things we focused on this week was focus and keeping your mind on the task at hand. While we may think that we can listen and play with objects in our desks or do other things, research so that that is not effective and our brain’s ability to listen diminish’s the more we try to multi-task. So, one of the concepts we worked on was attending to instructions and discussions, which is not easy to do after a whole summer away from the class! 🙂
