Next week is a very busy week and I wanted to just let you know of some thing that are happening.

1) Track Meet:

For those students who are going, the track meet is happening this coming Tuesday. If you have a child that is going, please make sure that you have paid the $8 at the office to cover the bus costs. The bus will be leaving at 7:00 am and arriving back at approx. 5:00 pm. Please make sure to let me know if you are planning on driving your child if you have not already.

2) Art Gala:

Just wanted to let everyone know about a fantastic event happening on May 30. From 6:30 – 8:00, the Highroad Intermediate department will be hosting an Art Gala featuring art work created by the students in Grades 4-6. Students have worked hard this year in Art and often create pieces of art that are not seen beyond their teacher and home. We want to change all that and give students a chance to show off their favorite pieces to a larger audience. Artwork will also feature audio clips of students talking about their artwork. Selected artwork will have a QR code displayed beside it. Using a QR code app, such as Kaywa QR reader (which you can download for free onto your mobile device), you can scan QR codes and create your own Audio Art Walk.

3) Spring Sing:

Our Spring Sing Concert is on May 26th at 7 PM. It should be a fantastic evening of music! Students must wear their uniforms, however, they may wear their polo shirts and shorts if they choose.  No sweaters 🙂 Students need to be here by 6:45 in their classroom at the very latest.
