We have had some amazing Genius Hour presentations as students are starting to wrap up their first projects. We had one student present a photo scrapbook of family pictures she designed and created. Another student did a presentation of a poster of trips her family had taken. There has been some great work happening and more to come!

Speaking of great presentations, we had two today that I wanted to highlight. One of the students in the class did a great presentation all about rockets and how they are made. She then proceeded to launch one of the rockets she had built in the class. The rocket went off flawlessly. Fortunately, we have a very wide field right next to us. Even so, one of the pieces of the rocket landed on the top of the school building! Here is a video of her rocket launch!

Another student in our class wrote and recorded the world premier of his beat boxing song, Night Sleeps (I hope I got the name right!:)). You can listen to it below.
