I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Just wanted to keep you up to date on a couple of things as we move into this last full week of October:

1. Home Reading: This will be starting this week. I will be sending home information in the next couple of days.
2. Supplies needed: Mrs. Derksen is collecting empty paper towel rolls or wrapping paper cardboard rolls for a Social Studies activity. If you have any at home, could you please send them along?
3. Lego: I am looking for Lego to start building a collection in the classroom for those days that are rainy and wet. If you have any old Lego sitting around that you are looking to get rid of or have a line on some unused Lego sitting around, please let me know as I would love to start building up a collection.
4. Skating: We are supposed to be going skating this Friday. However, some plans have changed and now we are looking for a bus driver. If we do manage to get one for this Friday, I will be sending home a permission in the next couple of days.
5. Spell to Write and Read: Highroad is hosting our annual Spell to Write and Read Seminar on Saturday, Oct. 26th. If you are interested in attending this program, which describes our spelling and phonogram program, please let me know.
