Enjoying Your Snow Day?

Enjoying Your Snow Day?

I certainly am. What a delightful surprise! I got to spend lots of time outside playing in the snow with my kids, building snowmen and other snow delights! The neighbour kids joined us as well.

Anyway, we should be back tomorrow. Here are some things that are happening.

  1. Grade 4-12 Christmas Concert: More information will be coming out but the concert will be Dec. 15 at 6:30 in the gym. The primary concert will be the following day at 10:30.
  2. Report Cards: Barring any further snow days, Report Cards will be sent home this Friday.
  3. Memory Verse: Our memory verse this week is from Luke 2:8 – And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.Just a reminder that to get an Extending or 4 in their Bible Memory verses, students should be able to explain the verses relevance to their lives. An example would be, ” Just like the shepherds  watch their flocks, God watches over us.”
  4. Music of the Week: Our music of the week was someone that none of the children recognized (and probably few adults would as well!). However, our featured artist, Roger Whittaker, has always been associated with Christmas for me. My family were huge Roger Whittaker fans and my parents would often play his albums (or 8 tracks which is what we had). The ones we played the most were his Christmas albums and I always enjoy bringing out his Christmas albums now and feeling that wave of nostagia.

Finally, here is a fun winter game to play!
